About

Being born in the Philippines, living there for the first 15 years of my life, then being given the opportunity to broaden my horizon by moving to the United States have opened my eyes to the needs of the world. Our world. I am lucky to have my life, to have a job that pays my bills, to be able to provide for myself and my family. For these, I am grateful. There are others, our fellow men, who barely have any food on their table. There are farmers who work hard for their harvest, yet receive so little in return. There are those who are willing to learn the skills needed to provide better lives for themselves and their families, but they lack the resources to do so. There are children who could live longer lives if only appropriate steps were taken to prevent them from dying prematurely.

At first I thought I really didn’t have the resources to do anything to help fight poverty, hunger, and all the other preventable problems of the world. Not being worth billions made me think that I didn’t have enough to truly make a difference in the world. After a lot of thinking, and putting in time to do research, I realized that I didn’t have to be the richest person on earth to do some good, although I do applaud those who are willing to share what they financially have.

I love to write. I come from a family of journalists and creative writers. Although I didn’t graduate with a Journalism or English major, I have always wanted to do something significant with writing. This, plus my attachment to the internet and social networking gave me the idea to do my part in helping the world by sharing information I come across with regarding significant issues we all are facing today.

I Think, I Want, I Will is a personal blog I created for people who, like myself, started with an idea on how to use their talents and resources to create a better world. From ideas, we created a personal mission, a want, to turn our ideas into actions. My blog is, as I think, a gateway for those people to start doing what they’ve been thinking and wanting to do to improve our world.

My goal is to be a resource for you to learn more about different opportunities available, to support the cause you believe in, and give you the tools, such as links, updates, and event information, to do so.

The problems of the world are many, but so are we. We just need that push and the resources we need to take the first step that will lead us to becoming advocates, volunteers, donors, supporters, and better citizens of the world.

It would be great to hear from you, too. Please share your thoughts, ideas, etc. on the comments sections of any of my blog posts.

This is a personal blog; my own way of doing my part in creating a better world for everyone. Please limit comments to helpful, educational, informative comments. I will not tolerate personal attacks on myself or other readers/commenters. Let’s make this space a positive one for everyone who are willing to share their time to help create a better world.

The image of you as a darling 5-year-old, reaching out for your favorite caramel candy is vivid to me as if it is just yesterday. Look at you now, you’re reaching for other people’s hearts. We’re proud of you. Keep up the good work with God’s grace.
